Reviews

“..inspiration for girls to celebrate their femininity while encouraging boys to be in touch with the creative and nurturing.”

From Yogi Times

"Firstly, my husband and I love the title of this book, how could you not? I had heard about this book in an issue of Yogi Times Magazine. I knew I needed to order it. I teach yoga to kids (ages 5 to 11) in San Francisco, and love to read books that teach self-love and empowerment. This book teaches that and more. The drawings are cool and colorful, and the text is playful, yet deep and meaningful. I read this book towards the end of my yoga class so I only intended to read a few pages but it kept them wanting more. It also opened a dialog about how each of the characters in the book had special qualities and had something to share with the world. The children wanted to talk about the qualities they each possess. I recommend this completely, even if you don't have children, it will put a smile on your face."

Victoria A., Curley

"This book is a masterpiece! This book is a must for anyone with a daughter. The poems about each special girl are beautifully written, and the illustrations are absolutely stunning. I have two daughters and they are entranced by this gorgeous book. I recommend this book wholeheartedly, and will be telling all my friends. It is by far the most compelling and engrossing book for children I have ever read. My girls love to look at it, touch it, read it -- they cherish it. I cannot say enough about the beauty of this book and the message of empowerment for girls it conveys."

"Love this book!!! We have had this book from day one of my daughters birth and it is still one of our very favorites. The illustrations are very bright, creative and thoughtful with many details for a young child to dream into. Angel's poetry is fun and easy to read for all ages, and appropriate for both children and adults. Her clever poetry is simple enough for children to hear the message of each wise and wonderful girl, and gives adults something to ponder as well. I highly recommend this book to each and every little girl. May it add a bit of inspiring poetry and playful wisdom to their bookshelf."
